4月18日，周立波在纽约宣布，将会于7月8日在纽约卡耐基音乐厅进行“海派清口”相声——《唱时代的歌说自己的笑话》专场演出。

Zhou Libo will become the first-ever Chinese stand-up comedian to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York.

对全球古典音乐与流行音乐艺术家来说，位于纽约曼哈顿的卡内基音乐厅无疑是殿堂级圣地，而周立波此次将要在这里进行跨界演出，震惊四座。据主办方表示，周立波是一百多年来首位在卡内基登台的非音乐类华人艺术家。

Located in Midtown Manhattan in New York City, Carnegie Hall has long been regarded as one of the most prestigious venues in the world for both classical music and popular music. Well-known for his Shanghai Style Small Talk, the 48-year-old comedian is set to bring his show "Sing our generation's songs, tell my own jokes" to the world-renowned venue.

发布会上，周立波表示，很荣幸能够在纽约进行演出，“我很喜欢纽约这个城市，它跟我的家乡上海都有美丽的天际线，是两个感觉很相似的城市。”

Zhou says it's a great honor for him to perform in New York City, and he believes "New York and Shanghai are very similar cities with beautiful skylines and wonderful people."

48岁的周立波在2006年上海兰心大剧院举办了复出后的首场演出，以独特的喜剧风格自创“海派清口”流派，一炮而红；后因《壹周立波秀》的播出，在中国观众中赢得了大量粉丝。

The comedian first shot to fame in 2006, with his unique comedic style that is delivered in a linguistic mixture of Mandarin Chinese, Shanghai dialect, and some English words and phrases. He has named his style "Shanghai Style Small Talk," and it has won a considerable fan base among Chinese audiences. Zhou also created "Mr. Zhou Live Show," which is considered by some as the first television comedic talk show in China.
